This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

This work is the beginning of a new series titled Songs for the Lone & Forgotten, in which I explore the possibilities of the torn, textured surfaces to tell the stories of atemporal characters. These characters could be only fragments of memories, pieces of a time long gone but that insist on returning.
About Patricia Ariel
Artist of surreal and visionary themes, Patricia was born in 1970 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she lived and worked until moving to the United States. Although part self-taught, she has had some formal instruction in visual arts that included academic drawing training and fashion design. Besides drawing and painting, Patricia has expressed herself since early age through different artistic languages like theater, dance, and music. Her decision to become a professional fine artist came only later, after leaving her homeland. Working primarily with pencils, Patricia’s art is strongly influenced by her spirituality and insights about the connections of men with nature and magic, and the spiritual/psychic dimensions.
