When my Mother passed away, she left behind many treasures and a lot of stuff to sort through.
My sister and I try to go through things every time we are together. Amy says to me over and over, hey, I bet you could use this in your art. It gets to be pretty funny as she hands me some unbelievable things! But we came across some unopened decorative napkins and finally, there was something I could use. I wanted to create something using the napkins☺ I put on some music and began the journey. On came the song from my mothers funeral, I will Rise. Of course I cried and cried and kept creating. On February 9th is the anniversary of my Mothers passing. I scratched into the wax her favorite verses from I Corinthians 13: 4-8. I call the piece, I Will Rise.
